[Bellaranger]

Hey, my FibroScan showed stage F3. My GI says she will rescan in a year or 2. That just seems like a long time to wait to be scanned again. Does anyone have any advice or opinions for me regarding this?

That is a common schedule but many aren't even monitored that often. I've been lucky to be able to be tested more often, volunteering for clinical trials is a good way to get lots of testing. My personal strategy going forward is to monitor with the new blood tests which I can order myself. Very similar accuracy to Fibroscan. Here is a link with some info if that is of interest

I unfortunately do not qualify for any trials because I have crohns disease and possible lupus. Thank you for the information I will look into that

I am in the US and my insurance allows annual testing. Were you given your CAP score too?

My CAP score was 337

My CAP score was 333 and my KPA was 5.7. My Hepatologist said that I am F1. Were you given any advice from your doctor on how to improve your condition?
