It is important to get enough protein. It is best to get it as part of a normal diet if your system can manage it. If not, be careful of the sugar content as that isn't helpful.

I was taking ON (Optimum Nutrition ) WPI (Whey Protein Isolate) and because I am Diabetes 2 I check my glucose , its interesting that ON WPI has 950 and 955 as sweetners but my tests only range in the mid 6,s after consuming this after a meal.
But I changed brands to NOW Foods WPI which has stevia as sweetner , my tests were up in mid 8,s after the same meals.
Its not a real concern but the blood result shows stevia in not low GI.
I used Whey Protein Shakes purchased directly from medical doctor. I developed a lot of burping, flatulence, and acid reflux. yes, I lost weight but the other symptoms were severe enough to require me to undergo two endoscopies and other invasive GERD tests.
