Liver and brain symptoms

i am a 34 year old male that was diagnosed with cirrhosis(F-4) last year. Since then i treated my hep-c and its down to F-2. Before i was diagnosed i was having very strange symptoms, brain fog, pressure in my head, eye twitching and some short term memory loss. Too many little symptoms to name. They never found a cause and then it eased tremendously and i was diagnosed with the stage 4. Things have been rocky with the brain symptoms but it comes and goes. Over this past spring and summer i broke down and drank again. Almost daily and all the symptoms came rushing back. And these symptoms cause severe anxiety and panic attacks. Ive since stopped drinking for a couple months but the symptoms are still here. I feel best when i first wake up and it gets worse throughout the day. My question is, id like to hear others symptoms and experiences with this part of liver disease. Is it normal to come and go and are my symptoms in line with this disorder, which the name i xant spell or pronounce. Hepatic e.........., id really appreciate everyones advice. Thank you

People often describe hepatic encephalopathy that way. If the liver is unable to process the ammonia in the blood it really disturbs the brain. It is one of the possible complications of cirrhosis. Excess protein in the diet is one thing that some people report as a cause and you may also have a disrupted bowel flora that is messing you up. The only treatments are diet so you might consider a NASH diet and definitely avoid the alcohol. Here is a link as a place to start but continue to work with your docs.

So the symptoms i listed are in line with hepatic encephalopathy? That's what im really worried about because i get thoughts of other serious problems with my brain. But other then the liver issues i am pretty healthy. Im only 34 and in good physical shape. My unhealthy lifestyle of my past caused this issue. I guess im just really hoping this is the cause. There is levels of hepatic encephalopathy correct?
