I went for my physical this week. I am a 52 year old female. Five years ago my ALT was 86. I had it rechecked and it went down to 32. The past five years it has been good until the other day. It went to 98. My AST is 44. My ALP is 123 out of a 9-122 range. The doctor said he is sure it is fatty liver. I lost weight, but put about 10 lbs on during the covid. I have been eating the wrong things for about 5 months. To initially lose weight I went to a mediweightloss center. I took supplements for some time too. Now the dr. is sending me for an abdominal ultrasound. Should I be worried?

well, worry may be too strong. Managing a fatty liver is important and learning more about your status is a good thing. ALT can fluctuate a lot for many reasons so additional testing makes sense but getting back to a healthy lifestyle is how fatty liver is managed.
