Has anyone had anemia with cirrhosis or advanced liver disease and had to take iron. Is it dangerous to take iron when you are anemic and your liver is already stressed?

From my understanding, if your anemic, your iron levels are low- So taking iron would help- I’ve taken that here and there but generally I do not need to because I eat dark greens atleast 3 times and week- and a large amount of veggies as well as a steak once a week? I do not eat meat everyday however you need to repair your iron levels so your body has oxygen-

Many things can interrupt your body’s iron- calcium for instance... too much can block the iron- A blood specialist or even pcp can help you.. you should always seek follow ups to make sure your iron level is ok
