Hi...I'm new here and wanted to share my story! I posted this as a reply to someone, but wanted you all to be encouraged by a success story. Intermittant Fasting has completely changed my life! I'm 56 with Atrial Fibrillation for 25 years, was 285 pounds and pre-diabetic. Struggled through regular diets and even got to 205 at 50 years old, and gained most back by 52. NOW, I've been on healthy keto ( high fat, low low carbs, lots of starch free veggies). Now at #195 with limited struggled (yes, it takes some willpower, but 70% less than standard diet). My blood tests look like a healthy 25 year old. HGH improvements made me pretty muscular for an old guy. This shit is ALL good. It took 15 years off my look, but more importantly I'm a picture of health. Carbs/sugar is the heart killer, inflammation. Most medical doctors still talk low fat even though heart desease has increased every year since we started it.

I am "pretty muscular for an old guy" @ 14% bodyfat and 71!
BMI is irrelevant for old, tall, muscular men, but I am now BMI 25 - which makes me almost underfat by some yardsticks.
I typically feed from 2pm til 8.30pm. it works great with my job/ lifestyle. I eat two full satisfying meals with fat, medium protein and very limited carbs. Only water, black coffee & green tea during fasting. It's been a year now and this is the only method that's worked for me...been chubby to damn fat most of my life. I don't feel pressure or like I'm "just hanging on" like I did with diets. It's literally been a life saver!
How about you brother! Your numbers sounds great, especially at 71 (age is enough of an excuse for most people!)

Nothing to add, but yeah, it's great, isn't it. I've only been doing it since December, so about now was the time I was going to have another blood test to check my biomarkers. I can't justify exposing a nurse or myself to potential CV just because I want to show off. It will have to wait.
It's been 2 years so you might not be on here. Either way I'll throw it out into the atmosphere, congratulations. I hope to tout healthy statistics like yours some day.
