Switching OAB medication to solifenacin

Hi All,

My son has just started solifenacin after being on oxytrol patches. On the patches he had become dry overnight and his incontinence had decreased to small daily leaks. Because he wasn't completely dry in the day our urologist wanted to change his medication.

It is only day 5 of taking solifenacin but he woke up wet this morning and yesterday had a big accident. Is going backwards a normal part of changing medications?

I'm hoping i'm just being impatient and need to give it more of a chance before i panic but would really appreciate hearing other people's experiences.

Thanks!

Hi Aaateam It may be worth checking that he is drinking the right amount (6-8 cups a day) and that his bowels are ok, check for that soft formed 'Type 4' poo once a day or every other day, best wishes, ERIC
