I was just wondering if anyone gets similar symptoms to me during ovulation?
I get really bad nausea waking me up at night, don't sleep well, lower back pain, rectal pains, needing to wee a lot, pain in my hips especially on my right, radiating down my leg making it feel crampy, fatigue, headaches, sharp pains in my pelvis, and even blood in my poo sometimes. I'm sure there's more I haven't mentioned.
It all seems to start during ovulation, not long after my period, and will now vary through my cycle until my next period, but will be a little worse this week.
I have, I think, most of the symptoms of endo and have been going through tests after tests for 4 years now and still have no answers as to what could be causing my symptoms, and lots of other things have been ruled out.
I had an MRI 4 weeks ago, but my gyne is on holiday and none of the other consultants seem to want to speak with me about the results, which I understand, but its so frustrating and the waiting is making me anxious.
Im wary of having a laparoscopy at this time, which is why I had an MRI first.
I think not having a clear diagnoses makes it really hard to explain to people when you aren't feeling well and I even feel guilty for resting, which is silly. I have 2 children and a dog so I am really active most days, but some days like today it's a struggle.

Hi Penny ❤️ I am so sorry you are struggling, and I know it seems even harder when you do not have a diagnosis yet but please know that this doesn't make your pain/symptoms any less valid.
I have Endo and Adeno which were both diagnosed through MRI and I am currently waiting for my laparoscopy. If your Gynae comes back and says there is no endo showing on your scan, I would ask your GP to refer you to an endo specialist (BSGE) and get them to read your MRI report because more often than not, if your scan is being read by a general gynae rather than an endo specialist, they don't know what they are looking for and will likely miss it. So please don't be disheartened or give up if this happens, it doesn't mean you don't have endo (sometimes it doesn't show up on scans at all).
Also, to reassure you slightly - I experience almost all of those symptoms around ovulation (I am ovulating at the moment and in a lot of pain). Mostly the sharp, stabbing pains, headaches and nausea is what I find has the most significant impact during this time and I feel exhausted too. I don't have blood in my poo but I think this is a symptom of bowel endo so I would make sure your gynae/specialist is aware of this as it may change their plan for treatment for you.
I really hope that all makes sense but if you want to chat about anything, please feel free to pop me a message on here or on my instagram which is @endo_the_stigma
Hi!I have almost all the symptoms you mentioned. For me is not the period. My worse days are exactly around ovulation. I was diagnosed stage IV and I got a laparoscopy. The pain in the tight is typical when you have scar tissue on the ovary. For me it's way better now that they removed it, even though I still get is sometimes.
Get a specialised endometriosis gyno and they will probably suggest a surgery as well.
