can you have laparoscopy when your on your period?

I’m having my 1st laparoscopy next week but realised I’m going to be on my period I can’t get in touch with the hospital, can they do it if I’m on my period ?

Usually, they stop your periods before performing a laparoscopy for endometriosis. But don't worry, they'll be able to see better perhaps as the lesions will be bleeding. No ideas to be honest.

I came on the day before mine, they were fine and they still did it. Don't stress :)

Same here. I asked my doctor. He said it is all fine. All the best. Look up what you should eat after.

My surgeon actually told me to stop my pill the week before and then continue it 4 days after.. so I was on my period and it didn't matter

Yep lol. I was day three of my period and I had endometrial ablation plus a mirena coil in the same sitting 😄.
