New here, I am scared about my second Lap on 2nd November

Hi Everyone,

I am new on here. I suffered with painful periods since I was 14 years old (24 years old now). I had 3 miscarriages and was messed around by my gp and NHS gynac. I then went private and got diagnosed with stage 2 endo. I had my first lap and then conceived my rainbow baby. Ever since I gave birth (via c-section) my endo flared up really bad. I had a ultrasound and my gynac saw polyps, 2 small cysts and free fluid in endometrium and pelvis area. So I have my second Lap in a week time and i am having major anxiety regarding general anaesthesia, health anxiety and constant thoughts of dying or something will go wrong and my daughter will be motherless.

Im worried about the free fluid because ive never had that before but my gynac said he isnt too concerned. He would only be concerned if i was in a certain older age group and probably past menopause. Im still so scared.

Has anyone has a successful lap especially post c-section? My gynac told me risks increase slightly because of my c-section so im scared.

Hi! I've had 2 successful laps following my c-section - and now scheduled for a hysterectomy. When booking each of the appointments it was explained that there was a slightly higher risk following c-section due to scar tissue in the area, and apparently this is all slightly closer to the urethra and bladder so a higher chance of damage to these than if you haven't had a c-section.

Good luck with your Lap! X

Aww hope your hysterectomy goes well. Ive been told that I will be having a hysterectomy some point in the future. Im still not completely sure how I feel about that.

I struggle a lot with health anxiety so hearing about the higher risks has made me a lot more anxious.

If you dont mind me asking how was your recovery post lap after a c-section? was it different?

Thanks

I didn't have a lap before my c-section so can't compare the recoveries - but recovering from the laps was a breeze compared to the actual c-section and recovery!
