Vulvodynia flare up

Endometriosis has caused nerve damage in my body which has lead to the development of vulvodynia. This has been a huge issue for me for about a year but I have been managing it with the antidepressant amytriptiline to interrupt the pain signals. This has worked really well ever since i started taking it but this week it is back majorly. I think i’m having a bad flare up of the vulvodynia with extreme pain and intense stinging.. anyone else suffer from this? If anyone has any advice about what could have brought this on or what I can do to manage a flare up i’d be super grateful. Thanks a lot for any help :)

I’m sorry I don’t have any advice just wanted to say that I had not heard of this and I’ve looked it up as I think it’s important to know as much about women’s health issues as possible. In the article I read it did provide some suggestions to soothe the pain but I’m guessing if you’ve been living with this then you’ve likely tried the things they mentioned like cool packs and lidocain?
