I went for an ultra sound scan today, as I have very sever pain while on my period to the point where I can’t walk and I’m constantly throwing up. The pain is unbearable. they said everything looks fine and is normal but I know the pain I have isn’t normal. What’s the next step now? Surely there must be something wrong with me. What else can I do?

My ultra sound came back clear. What’s the next step?
A clear scan doesn't rule out endo at all. In fact I'd put money on most of us diagnosised with endo having a clear ultrasound.
Next step is to be referred to a gynaecologist who had a minimum of a specialist interest in endo.
Hi i agree with Christin, i had numerous clear scans myself. Ask to be referred to a gynaecologist also endo specialist being preferable. You may find with a general gyni they suggest a coil which seams to be their general response. Push for more explanation such a a MRI.
I hope you get the help you need I know how frustrating it is to feel constantly fobbed off.
Good luck x
A normal scan doesn’t mean you don’t have endo. Ultrasounds don’t tend to pick it up. All the ultrasounds I had were fine but when i had my lap, I was diagnosed with mild to moderate Endo. My symptoms were the same as yours.
Hi Emma, I agree with all the ladies that have responded to you thus far, ultrasounds that come up clear doesn’t mean you don’t have Endo. Us as women know when somethings not right with our bodies. Start a symptom diary and go to the specialist with that. Don’t give up and stick up for yourself as no one else will. Good luck!! X
My ultrasound came back clear and had extensive endo. Think just a procedure they have to go through before you have a laparoscopy
