PCOS

I came off the pill Oct 2019 and I’ve had 1 period since. I had a blood test last week to check my hormone levels and I’ve been so worried and anxious about it all since. The results today has said that my testosterone levels are slightly high and that PCOS is a common problem that I could have. I’ve got to go for a scan next week to see

And now I’m so worried about it , and if I’ll be able to have children or not

Is high testosterone levels the only outcome of this? Is it possible it could be something else ? And has anyone got PCOS and had children ?

If it is PCOS, please know it is possible for you to have children.

I was diagnosed myself 5 years ago after a year of trying to get pregnant unsuccessfully. I went through for the scans and was told by my Dr that it was highly unlikely for me to fall pregnant naturally due to the extent of the cysts on my ovaries, I was put on for tests to see whether or not I was actually ovulating and a week before my blood test (6 months after my scan) I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I now have a very healthy 2 year old and currently *trying* to conceive for our second child. Know that there are things you can do if it is PCOS, from diet and lifestyle changes to Clomid and other prescription meds from the Dr and if all else fails you would be offered IVF.

Also I would advise you to research PCOS if that is your outcome, just to give yourself a little bit more knowledge on the situation you may find yourself in.
