Endometrioma

So after a very long journey, I finally had my MRI scan (after it being cancelled twice due to problems at the hospital). It shows a large endometrioma on my c section scar. I have an appointment with my consultant on Tuesday. Does this mean surgery? Anyone else had this, I'm curious of the treatments.

I didn’t have an endometrioma on scar, but on my left ovary at 7cm, without contraceptive pill cerezette I would have been in agony waiting for surgery more so than I was. However, they left me that long that the endometrioma leaked and disappeared but I was left with extensive D.I.E (deep infiltrating endometriosis) both my ovary a where stuck down and slightly twisted, my uterus is retroverted and cervix tilted.. all in all it’s a mess! And endometioma usually suggests stage 3/4 endometriosis (not always, but more so than not) if it is bigger than 4cm they usually operate or could do so for diagnostics. But since I’ve suffered for 17 years and only just got my diagnosis and as yet no treatment plan, I can’t say if they will go straight in and operate. But if it’s impacting your life and causing pain definitely push for it! I believe my drained 3 months prior to my surgery, due to a massive pain episode that left me bedbound.

All the best xx
