Rectum pain
Hi I had similar, a lap then pregnant, c-section and another lap within 6 months. Then 20 years on I'm riddled with stage 4 and soon having hysterectomy with dble oopherotomy.
What did I learn: c-sections can make Endo worse. I should have gone on proper hormonal treatment to control my estrogen and not just 'managed my pain' all those years. I'm 41 now..
I didn't used to get the rectal pain so much or that I remember buy with stage 4 it's all over my bowel and the pouch of Douglas is "obliterated" as well as intravaginal etc etc..
Advice is to seek help and stamp your feet and mainly get educated. Don't suck it up like I did! Hope this helps and wishing you all the best and with your new baby
That sounds painful. Hope that your better now? I have so much pain with mine this time that even ibuprofen and paracetamol combined won’t touch it. I had ovarian cysts and endometriosis on my ovaries removed in January 2018. Then got pregnant in August 2018. I remember when my surgeron performed the surgery he said that there was some endo growing on the outer wall of my bowel so I’m hoping it hasn’t got worse or spread.
Thanks, no I am awaiting hysterectomy and dble oopherotomy so pretty bad now. All over my bowel, everything stuck together. Stage 4 is no joke.. can get what is called "frozen pelvis" where your organs don't have movement due to being stuck together. Plus bowel Endo carries risks if it grows into the wall then you possibly need a bowel resection. Unfortunately c-sections can definitely make Endo worse. Mine was all over scar within 6months.
I can say I have less 'pain attacks' than before and I think stress plays a major role. Air sure to take care of yourself and eliminate stresses that u can. I wish you all the best and answers.
I have a scan booked in soon to see what’s going on hopefully it will get sorted
Sadly I get this a lot and it gets worse from week 2 of my cycle. I’m aware that my endo nodules on my rectum and lower bowel cause this and so I’m very careful to keep my bowels regular and drink plenty during that time.
My endo improved for a year or so post c-section and then deteriorated rapidly after I had an ruptured ectopic about 3 years later. I’m due a bowel shave and hysterectomy and ophrectomy in September. I’m becoming anxious it’s spread further as I’m now getting shooting pains up my front passage as well!
I would push to go back to your specialist it’s never too soon. It’s worth being seen and be supported especially if you would like another baby in the future.
Best wishes x
