Symptoms/signs and complications

My mother’s sister has (or had) endometriosis. Years back ago she had a hysterectomy. I think that I may be just now discovering that I myself my have it as well. I was curious what signs and symptoms you all have had? What complications have you experienced from this? Is it true that oral contraceptives could cause this condition? If so, is it possible to get rid of it by stopping the contraceptive?

I had really bad cramping pelvic pain, sharp pains sometimes, pain with urination and intercourse, nausea/vomitting, fatigue, and more! I don't see how hormonal contraceptives could cause endometriosis as it is actually a treatment for endometriosis.

Thank you for your response. I do get random sharp pains in my lower abdomen area and when I’m having intercourse sometimes it’ll hurt deeper inside where it feels like the cervix is inflamed or something. I get random spells of nausea but they’ve lessened with diet changes. I have a gluten intolerance but I wonder if I have other conditions that are exacerbated with the gluten. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I plan to talk with my doctor but I’m impatient and am just trying to get an idea before I go.
