Hi I have finally got my date for total hysterectomy (due to adenomyosis), ovary removal, excision and possible bowel resection. 11th March. I can't wait to get this done and get on with the road to recovery.

Oh that's good news, that's a big op, I had a hysterectomy for Adenomyosis in July, recovery went really well, unfortunately I'm still having issues with my end, but didn't see a specialist, so don't thing it was dealt with completely,

Are you under a BSGE centre?

I've got an appointment with specialist 18th Dec, can't wait to see what he says,

Hi, I too have a date for the exact same, in on the 19th Feb, colonoscopy on the 21st Dec, pre op 5 th Jan. I am with a Bsge centre, feeling hopeful!

Can I ask, how was your Adenomyosis diagnosed? X

I should have said suspected , uterus was enlarged at lap in July and also due to symptoms- pain, heavy bleeding with large clots & irregular periods. It can only be confirmed through pathology after hysterectomy.

Mine was suspected for the same reasons and was confirmed after hysterectomy, he was pretty sure though,
