Im on prostap and livial have had no AF for months. Had a lap done about 3 weeks ago and have started to bleed could this be an AF?

Im just worried not had a bleed for over a year now with the prostap and livial. its been 3weeks since my lap and i have just gone back to work could the bleed be down to that or an AF?

If the Prostap has been keeping your periods at bay successfully for all this time, it would be highly coincidental if it started to 'fail' now.

Any abdominal surgery, gynae or otherwise, can upset your reproductive system. It's very probably the lap that's caused this bleed, and things should settle down again. Unless it becomes overly heavy and doesn't stop it's nothing to worry about.

Thanks i was worried might have done to much in work. Do you know if the livial will make you bleed i have only been on that for about 4 months. X

I think it's more likely to be the lap than the livial - the livial is at such a low dose - out of interest, what made you decide to start the livial? Was it the side effects of the Prostap?

Hello i was put on prostap as a down reg. For ivf to help shrink some cyst's was on it for 4 months. after treatment and a bfn my cycle started again and i was in so much pain Dr put me back on prostap. All i suffered with was some night sweats but helped loads especially with cycle pain. I still get some pain lower back in particular. The Dr put me on the livial after i had 6 more injections of pro. Not noticed any change with the livial still feel the same as i did with out it.

are you thinking of going down this route or have you tried them?
