insulin is less or more equivalent to your body producing insulin.

drug has to be converted to insulin. then your organs should be capable of converting them or drugs should bring capability to organs to convert them.

Few things like fenugreek, cinnamon etc. are known to help in controlling diabetes. But what I certainly know is that nutrition supplements help in restoring the function of the body organs and reverse the condition to some extent. I confirm this from my experience. I do not know about other systems.

Thank you gentlemen for your joining my issue , though it does not address my specific query and that's simple. Is it necessary for me to be insulin dependent , as of now , when BS level and HbAIC readings are almost normal. In fact the lab report says my HbA1C reading is " non-diabetic" !

If u have strong opinion about the controlling capacity of AYURVEDA/OTHER SYSTEMS, u can test ur self. Stop insulin for 2 /3 days , use ayurvedic drugs and monitor ur blood glucose levels on daily basis. I am confident u will continue ur insulin

Mr Sergii , As per doctor's advice ,I " re-started " small dose of insulin four months ago. A year ago when 'traetment ' started I was advised to take almost same dose of insulin. When there was unintended loss of about 10 KG weight while on oral medication , insulin was restarted. Reasons for weight loss have not been explained but it could also be due to lot of stress , moderate smoking and TB .TB has been completely cured and have given up smoking .I will follow what doctor/s advices who says beta cells of my pancreas may regenerate over a period of time with proper diet , exercise and change in life style. .He will take a call in May. Mr Reddy , I started herbal formulations prescribed by an Ayurvedic doctor , don't have any positive or negative bais. Wished to try it as a supplementary effort and its too early to say results are good or bad.

Mr Shooter , I must thank you for your response to my question in an entirely new way. My mantra , given by a doctor-friend is simple , BEFRIEND DIABETES , DON'T MAKE IT YOUR ENEMY. This is why I am trying many things , including Ayurvedic herbal things though my blood glucose level is under control , certainly not alarming. Will report my experiences and experiments to all concerned in due course. You are absolutely right to say that a diabetic should decide things besdt for himself . I shall visit the link mentioned by you to learn from your experiences. Being a journalist I love to study things and find out the gaps to face the problem/s . Its my considered opinion that many things in our life , like diabetes ,aggravate because we don't address it prioperly in early stage and I am trying to do precisely that , REGARDS

I want to comment that Ayurvedic medicines should and can be used only as an adjunct and parallel to Allopathic medicines and not as stand alone till your diabetes is fully under control and your doctor stops all your Allopathic medicines and Insulin. Please know that if your Doctor has started you on Insulin he knows best and believe me in that case Insulin is the very best way to control Blood Sugar levels. Many people get disturbed when prescribed Insulin, I was on Insulin for 3 Years, but with weight loss and some lifestyle changes I am now completely off Insulin and only on OHA. Of course I still have a long way to go now.

There is definitely cure in Ayurveda but my suggestion is to follow any one of the medicine system, you can not daily intake allopathy and Ayurveda medicines in your body. The simple reason is you will not be able to know the benefits and which system is suitable to you.

Ayurveda is a science which can cure any of the disease if treated and taken properly both by the practitioner as well as patient.

Please do not switch over from allopathy to Ayurveda theory all of sudden . Ayurveda is a gradual and effective process to cure DM without any side effects. Day by day your doses of allopathy drugs will be reduce after taking Ayurvedic Aushadhies. And at one stage you may stop English drugs which are proven to damaging at long run to your kidneys and other organs which a big loss.

Do not try any Ayurveda medicines as advertise on TV through tele marketing. Have faith in your Vaidhya. Your Vaidhya is a right person to judge about your medicines.

Also review your life style . If, required take help of dietician for proper and suitable diet to fight with DM. Have regular check ups one in month, do not always assume that your are free from Diabetes. Even if your Sugar levels are normal, keep proper dial, regular exercise, have medicines regularly and visit your consultant at regular intervals without any break .

Control your metabolic system through Ayurveda is most effective and result oriented by consulting proper Ayurveda Consultant
