As much as you like, but up to feeling satisfied. It's not a licence to over consume, but really is self limiting in that you quickly feel full and you body calls a halt to your appetite.
As an experiment try eating a breakfast of an egg with a piece of cheese washed down with a cup of coffee topped with heavy cream. I guarantee you will be well into the afternoon before you want to eat again, and then a handful of nuts will take you to your evening meal.
