Why quitting LCHF?

I have no experience in this, but any major changes have to be brought about slowly and steadily. But then,I presume LCHF is not addictive.

I am also vegetarian. I follow LCHF diet without any problem. Lot of members here do follow veg. LCHF diet.

Didn't you get improvement in BS, other parameters after switching to LCHF?

CHAYAL,There are various arguments for and against LCHF side effects. You have to study the subject in detail to your satisfaction and take a decision that is acceptable to you.

i have done it for past 15 days and will continue for next 15 days. after that i will slowly go back to normal diet with increased exercise.

will that be ok??

anup This person has a question and it is not about efficacy of LCHF. His question is about how to safely exit from LCHf,for his own reasons.Nothing for or against LCHF. If anything is to be shared ,let us do it.

thanx venkataramana for understanding my question.

Please help me out as to how to get back to normal diet

When you make radical changes in diet, like LCHF,you would consider the changes that it might have brought about in the gut flora.I read some where that there may be about 1000 varieties of bacteria in our intestines and they play a decisive role in digestion of the food.I am not an expert on this nor hold any set views on the subject, but I do feel that your gut flora might have undergone some changes to take care of the high fat in your LCHF diet,as a natural process of adjustment. Now,if you want to cut down fat drastically, you should give an opportunity for gut flora to adjust to the new diet because they have to tackle more of carbs, fibers etc. That is why I suggested that you move from LCHF to normal diet in a slow and steady manner.Other than this,I do not foresee any issue.

ok i will go slowly.

one more thing I didnt take lots of fat. like i used to have omllete, paneer and vegies in my diet for pat 15 days. no cream and other fats.

So I didnt take large chunks of fat but still reduced 5 kgs in 15 days.

So I think goin slowly back to normal diet should not lead to weight gain

I agree with you,but a keep a close watch.

I support the opinion of @venkataramana. @CHAYAL has posed a straight forward question.

I have started exercising when I started LCHF

I have absolutely no issue with what you are saying. All that I believe in is,if some body wants to be on high fat diet for the next 20 years or so,let it be so.That person would have arrived at such a decision based on his own thinking and decision making abilities. All that I am stressing is,I am a diabetic for more than 20 years,I am now on insulin and able to control my sugar level satisfactorily and expect to reduce the insulin dose in future. And from whom I seek advise is left to

me ,right?I believe in main stream medical guidelines and I see no reason to to consider any other kind of advise.

Who said I am getting Hypos every three hours?I said there are chances of hypo if I indulge in driving out or washing the car etc.To ward it off I take extra care.I have home monitoring records meticulously for the past three months and the numbers are good.Let us not go into semantics. What I mean as satisfactory may be the same thing as excellent in your parlance. My priority is avoid Hypo and reduce the insulin dose.Well,I do not have 25 to 30 years of life and whatever is left will only be in single digits.I am enjoying my diet pattern and wish you will enjoy yours for the next 25 or 30 years safely.
