Without going into A 1 and A2 debate,I have couple of facts to put forward. A1 is a mutant gene found in American and European COWS. All Indian indigenous cows and buffalo contain only A2 . Only hybridised cows got this A1.

In India 54% of milk comes,from buffalo , 44% comes from cows. Of Cows about 42% from indigenous cows which don't have A1.

In UK , milk are available which are marked A2 and its sale is rising rapidly.

A lot of more research is required to assess the health impact of A1 in India.

Can anybody provide the A1 A2 classification of all Indian breeds and crossbreds? It appears that there is too much talk on this without any substance.

I have put forward only a few facts, without any comments. I had read somewhere that a few milk producing private units have joined hands and started marketing sweets, labelling it , "made from A2 milk."

In Indian context , concern has been expressed, asking the govt. to do rethinking about " operation flood " and frame a policy and guidelines ,keeping in view the recent developments and reported health issues with A1.

to day evening i eat 50gms curd & 75 gms peanuts,in dinner lwmdr . after 2hrs ppbs 177 .yesterday dinner after2hrs ppbs 140 (without curd & peanuts). sure peanuts raise bs level.
