where can and which machine can I buy to test my blood sugar, should not be expensive, Please suggest me best one, anil_paleja@yahoo.co.in

Pl go to any good chemist. He has a number of models.Every model is good and is of state of art technology. Calculate the price on the basis of initial cost plus cost of strips (about 30 per month) and take the one with lowest cost.
Buy the simplest machine. Have found Johnson& Johnson machines as very good.
Cost and simplicity apart, having used both J&J and Accu Chek, I prefer the latter because there is little to no pain on pricking. The J&J model gives a bit of pain (at least to me). In terms of accuracy both are equally good or bad, with J&J recording lower readings than Accu Chek. Calibrate these readings with a lab test & then figure out how high or low.
Absolutely right. J&J gives pricking pain. However Accucheck pricking is very gentle. Cost of Strip is also cheap.
