Type 2 from 2 years. Checked a1c yesterday . Came out as 6% .fbs is 116 !!! I don't take any medications !! Is it ok ?? Age is 46!!
Hi indiacrates many thanks for your reply but where did you see the pride in my question ??? It's a query sir and not a proclamation !!! I said I'm diabetic from 2 years so have had medicines and doctors advises and finally have come to this point !!!
domingus: You have done great. I too managed to reverse it in 2005 without medication. What I have observed is that doctors in my country do not eliminate medicine completely even if A1C is 5.6% and everyone who starts something as nice as metformin, in the eleventh year is definitely insulin dependent! domingus, I am not sure whether my diabetes reversed in 2009...however, this time around I have been able to improve HBA1C by an average of 0.175% per week (from a high of 11.6% to 7.2% now)...
medfree: Doctors do not want to take risks. Most of them believe in over medication. It is a mind set. And we see this mind set the day a kid gets into medical school. Immediate circle of kid who gets into medical school take more tonics, vitamins and at first TENTATIVE symptom of a possible ailment, take curative medicines. Honestly, you have to keep a log of what all doctors themselves consume. [P.S: We have many doctors in the family. One of my father's brother is a celebrity physician in US and another is a celebrity in hometown]
Doctor just try to bring down (mostly over the time they don't succeed) the sugar so patient, he himself, Pharma co will be happy.
This is like treat fever only with paracetamol. So sugar is the disease just lower it with medicine.
