You must be eating very high carb food and that's why drugs have no effect on your BS.The simplest therapy is to reduce your carb intake and replace carbs with protein and fat.

If you follow the LCHF diet you will need less drugs or may not need at all. Search on this forum for LCHF.

Yeh recently due to some reasons, I started feeling hungry after 1 hr of taking food. I went on eating to suppress the hunger. But I do not take rice, potatos, Only 4 chapatis, dal and green vegs in lunch and dinner.

If you are non vegetarian then it much more easy for you to control BS. As eggs and meat have nearly zero carb content.

Increased drug dose is ineffective, as you are over loading your dysfunctional beta cells. If you follow the LCHF diet you will see rapid improvement in your BS levels.

FBS should be less than 100 mg/dL and PPBS should be less than 140 mg/dL.

* Don't consume food after 7:00 pm.

* Do brisk walking for about 30 minutes.

* Check your fasting blood sugar daily and try to avoid foods that cause hyperglycemia.

* You can reduce high blood sugar level by adopting insulin therapy.

Dear Sir!

I respect and wish the things to maintain that way but the present lifestyle is to sleep at 11 PM and dinner at 09:30 PM. Because i am living with family, I have to be with the majority. Even if I eat before 7 PM I will again be hungry at 9 PM and will have to take some thing again.

glycomet gp1 contain glimepiride 1mg and metformin, this can fine initially but as we progress with diabetes one has to change from glimepride 1 mg to 2 mg, or has to start pioglit 15 or 30 mg contain (Pioglitazone ) or VOGLIBOSE tablets daily once along with metformin (glycomet 500 SR). consult your doctor for proper medication

this GP 1 is a slow release, undependable product.

Switch over to plain metformin 500mgs with breakfast and take 2mgs of glimiperide separately half hour before breakfast, repeat metformin 500mg during lunch and dinner and watch the difference.

you may keep your family physician informed of the changes i am suggesting
