As I understand,because you are diabetic,you want to know what you can do to prevent your child becoming a diabetic.The child will inherit your genes and so may become a diabetic.But there are also good chances that he or she may not get it.For example, though I am a diabetic,none of my three children are diabetic.But as a parent you can educate your child about proper nutrition,need for regular exercise and other basic principles of good health.
