My wife 30 yr of her age is suffering DM Type-2 & she is insulin dependent from last 5 years and have diagnosed calsific Pencretitis , she takes 32 units in morning(15 R + 17 N)&12 R in noon & 32 units in night but her sugar level fbs & pp is not controlled why ?

In India, Indonesia, and Nigeria, idiopathic calcific pancreatitis occurs among children and young adults (tropical pancreatitis).

Chronic pancreatitis is persistent inflammation of the pancreas that results in permanent structural damage with fibrosis and ductal strictures, followed by a decline in exocrine and endocrine function. It can occur as the result of chronic alcohol abuse but may be idiopathic. Initial symptoms are recurrent attacks of pain. Later in the disease, some patients develop malabsorption and glucose intolerance. Diagnosis is usually made by imaging studies such as ERCP, endoscopic ultrasonography, or secretin pancreatic function testing. Treatment is supportive, with dietary modification, analgesics, and enzyme supplements. In some cases, surgical treatment is helpful.

might be the insulin is not fixed by your doctor yet he is doing R&D with it.

Better way to fix your insulin is have a glucometer at your homes measure glucose level at every one hour for first 2-3 days. Then at every 2 hrs everyday. Alter your insulin intake accordingly. this you will have to do it by your self no meaning in depending on doctors. I have been through this stage in my diabetic life for 14 years.
