Certainly interesting to watch looks like we may be going to see an Engineer in the future and not a quack.

As you can see it is a technology in its infancy.

I suspect it will be a good tool for areas of the body which need some destruction such as tumours, gall stones and such like, but I don't think enough is known about how destruction of brain tissue will help in Parkinson's. Many years ago they used to destroy parts of the brain to control the symptoms but this was reviewed and replaced by DBS which is, to a large degree reversible and can be monitored and adjusted over time as the condition progresses.

A wonderful tool but just as a hammer won't solve every problem neither will this. Let's wait and see.

I signed up for the clinical trial on this, they did call me. They do not provide transportation and I am many hours away so could not participate.

If it isd gamma knife, I would be very careful of it. My brother-in-law had gamma knife procedure to remove an inoperable brain tumor which was benign but continually increasing in size. At first the procedure seemed to be quite successful but he then developed Alzheimers which probably was a result of the trauma to his brain of the gamma knife. Of course, without it he probably would have died, but it is not without its drawbacks.

I do not understand. I thought I shook because my brain produced too little Dopamine. How can destroying part of my brain help with this?
