Has anyone tried massage therapy for the leg pain and if so, has it helped?

Massage therapy did not help me.

My husband's massages are very helpful. :)

I pay for deep tissue massage from a sports physio. This has helped with the left arm & leg pain (my PD side). It is a specialised massage & can be available on NHS but only if there happens to be a trained physio in your area. It is not gentle & can be uncomfortable bordering on painful but works well over time.

Shiatsu is another massage technique that works well with PD. Not as rough, very relaxing. Puts Mike to sleep. The finger walking up the side of the femoral bone and the work on the bottom of the feet help quite a bit.

Has been a help to me unless it is too deep and in that case my body aches the next day.
