Keyboard typing and finger exercises

My keyboard typing is getting really slow.

Has anyone through finger exercises been able to improve or retain it?

Had some luck with exercise hand putty. Benefits stop if you stop exercising.

You might consider using Google Chrome as your browser, and which case they do have a very nifty voice to text audio recognition system that can supplement your typing, especially if you speak slowly and very articulate-ly with limited background noise. Mine happens to work well enough that it is the usual way I respond to these conversations here, errors and all. Quite handy (pun not intended).
