Is anyone familiar with or has used this probiotic?
so much is written about the gut and its relationship to the brain and effects on Parkinson’s. I have read various articles on probiotics and pre-biotics and Parkinson’s.
Thoughts? Experiences with pro biotics?

I have read some on it too. My problem is supposedly dopamine does no good unless it makes it to the brain. So unless the vagus nerve can transfer dopamine it would be useless. But, on the other hand B1 hcl oral also doesn't cross the BBB and it still helps with my PD.

We use prebiotics and probiotics. Instead of the expensive PS128, hubbys neuro recommends Florastor. He also takes h. Pylori fight and his prebiotic is inulin. This regime has greatly improved his constipation issues.
Recently, he had a GI Map test done which showed the H pylori was in control. The main issue seems to be streptococcal bacteria so we’re about to start new supplements to tackle this. These tests are very helpful but a little expensive (I think this one was $200 or so, but there are some cheaper ones out there)
I wrote about using Inulin and prebiotics in this post. My husband still uses it daily.
We are using Primal Gut Restore with good results. Also doing ozone rectal insulflation and it seems that the combo of things is actually working. Having a BM everyday is such a relief for him.
Hi, I can't see which probiotic you're talking about but I'm guessing it's PS128.
I read a trial or a news story last year which had me do a little research & buy some Bacillus Subtilis, and I take that regularly - I am undiagnosed and very early stages so can't really comment on its effectiveness (I am doing better but am taking a multi-faceted approach).
If ps128 is too expensive try microvital probotic. It has ps128 in it plus others might work for some.
Neuralli is a specific formula that only Bened Life makes. They charge $165 a bottle! They have it on sale now for about $115. You can piece it together and come up with something close for a lot less money. I found L. Plantarum in Kirkman Duo and Allergy Research Group products. They don't contain the 60 billion CFU's but you can get close by taking more capsules. It is not an acid-resistant capsule like Neuralli, so you take it on an empty stomach. Neuralli also contains Inulin, a prebiotic. You can find other manufacturers that make inulin like NOW. It might be worth trying this way first to see if you tolerate it before spending a lot of money. I tried Allergy Research Group's version at a comparable dose for about 3 months and saw no benefit. I do not have GI issues but it might be beneficial for someone with GI issues.
I am currently using it. Not sure if it made a huge difference, but I am only half way through the first bottle.
Has anyone found ps128 makes a difference?
Hi Shililly, I use Symbiotics pro-bio plus pre-bio from Amazon. Only use one instead of 2 tablets. It takes away any constipation issues and makes me regular again. Worth its weight in gold.
