Clarification, this is Levadopa with something called ENTACAPONE

Entacapone increases the impact of the levodopa, reducing off times. I found it effective, however, after a few years diarrhoea became an issue. Note that entacapone turns urine a lurid bright yellow, almost red.

Opicapone is a more recent drug with similar action, more effective and without the side effects, and only taken once a day. I find this the better option.

I have been using it for a few years and find it prolongs the effects of levodopa well but dyskinesia can be a problem so I use it mainly before meals so food doesn't interfere with absorption of levodopa. I also use madopar dispersible (levodopa/benserazide)
