That's where I ordered mine from, and I'm in the UK. Took a long time to get here though.

They used to ship to more countries, but they have reduced that number as of 2022.

Hi Art! I just ordered some of these Superior Source ones but I’m not sure what amount I should take being that they’re a sublingual form . I used to take four of the 500 mg tabs but they were so hard to swallow! Do you happen to know —would be the equivalent dose?

The one who can answer your question is forum member DAP or Daphne.

Imo, I would start with one 100 mg of the dissolvable B1 per day. Let it dissolve under your tongue and see how you are doing after a week. If symptoms get better and then worsen, the dose is too high. If symptoms improve and stay that way, your dose is probably very close. If no improvement, the dose is likely too low. This is assuming that you were getting apparent benefit at 500 mg of thiamine hci.

I forgot to mention that Vitacost 500 mg thiamine hci capsules are much much easier to swallow than the 500 mg tablets. Many of the HU forum members use this product with good results. Here is a link to them :

Hi Art. First of all, thank you for all you do on this forum. My husband and I appreciate it greatly. I ordered the sublingual B1 from Superior Source and we are looking forward to switching from the oral tablets to the sublingual. We also have Daphne’s book and are reading it.

Thank you!

I’ve seen earlier comments on availability problems in this group. Perhaps someone should persuade a UK based supplements retailer to stock it. Members could then share the link?

I emailed Superior Source and they replied with a website cvc4health. com.

I have gone through all the links provided here, and all are out of stock. The one that is available is too high a dose for me as I am just about to begin my journey with it. Doing a lot of reading lately thanks to this forum.

I don't seem to be able to find much about taking the therapy before you have started any meds

People on this forum have reported taking B1 prior to starting on CL and my general impression is that they eventually realize what Dr. Costantini said all along, his patients generally achieve the best results when combining C/L and B1. Quite a few members have reported starting initially with just B1 for a length of time and then adding C/L when they felt ready to do so or symptoms dictated doing so.

thank you but I'm confused. If B1 works, why would anyone need the medications too? Seems like a bit of a racket to me. Those PD meds cost a fortune.

We are talking about PD, there is no cure, only various improvements in quality of life(QOL), so you do your best to get as much improvement in QOL as possible. Please explain what "racket" there is here?

pharmaceuticals are a way to make money on peoples illness. ... and if I hear one more person tell me there is no cure, I think I will just turn on the stove and go gently into that good night. What you believe matters.

I am talking about reality and the reality is that C/L helps improve the quality of life (QOL) in many PwP and B1 helps improve the QOL in many people and for many people, the combination has synergy and work better together to improve the QOL of some users.

The fact that the pharmaceutical industry is in business to make money is not going to change because you don't like the amount of money they make. They are in business to make money and they do it well. That doesn't change what these two substances do for PwP in terms of improving QOL.

This conversation is about improving QOL for PwP via the use of B1 and C/L, not about the pharmaceutical industry. Both have shown themselves to improve QOL via different methods of action, so both have value for some PwP. B1 is not a substitute for C/L, but it is additive to C/L in terms of total symptom reduction. That is what I have seen on this forum, what has been reported on this forum and exactly what Dr. Costantini reported very early on when he started communicating with this forum.. If the idea is to improve quality of life, then both are important and of value for PwP. That is the reality of C/L and B1.
