a clinical trial of ambroxol called ‘Ambroxol to Slow Progression in Parkinson’, or the ‘ASPro – PD’ trial, will begin. This is a large phase 3 clinical trial to determine if ambroxol can slow or stop Parkinson’s. It is led by Professor Anthony Schapira at University College London and is funded by Cure Parkinson’s alongside its strategic partners Van Andel Institute and the John Black Charitable Foundation, and by the Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech, the drug discovery and development arm of Parkinson’s UK.

hubby has been taking a small dose of Ambroxol for quite a while now. He just takes the dose on the box which is a lot less than the trial but I don’t want to over do it as he is a strong responder to drugs. It seemed to coincide with a good period for him but he also started trying cinnamon at the same time.
He is currently back in a bad patch even though there has been no change to any of our protocols that have been going well for months. He always reacts badly to spring and summer and we have also had lots of stress with our son lately so probably that hasn’t helped.
