your lead would not load for me , but searching for laughter yoga was easy.
No wonder they are so happy , they are in Bali
If I ever believed in anything I believe in this.
Humour is the best medicine and
Happiness is a state of mind so you can be happy if you have a mind to
but how to get to the point of laughter is the question
old 3 stooges shorts, nope.
situation TV shows , nope
old standup comedians sometimes
every one is looking for a chuckle .
maybe yoga, not sure I can see what is funny about it
anybody with experience with it, because I need to know why are these people laughing.
Edit :They are not really laughing. Intriguing
A paragraph from the web site.
"How does it work? The concept of Laughter Yoga is based on scientific studies which has proved that the body cannot differentiate between intentional/voluntary and real laughter. One gets the same physiological and psychological benefits.
Learn the Art of Laughing for No Reason: Anyone can laugh for no reason without relying on humor, jokes or comedy and one can feel the benefits on the very first session! It’s easy.
Real and Contagious Laughter: We initiate laughter as a body exercise in a group and with eye contact and childlike playfulness, it quickly turns into real and contagious laughter.
Science of Breathing: According to the yogic concept of breathing, your exhalation should be longer than your inhalation so that you can get rid of stale air from your lungs. Laughter as a form of exercise is a great way to exhale longer. "
Now this makes some sense , thats why they put laugh tracks in old situation comody shows and played live before a studio audience in Burbank but it says you can trick yourself. Thats interesting. If I pretend to laugh ?
Gymbag,There is no self-deception, simply a person can cause his own emotions. hilarity is one of them. There are others: interest, boredom, crying, anger, enthusiasm ... try to make an effort to feel enthusiastic, after a while you will feel that way and everything will seem different to you. But don’t do it with too much audience because they’ll think you took a sunstroke.😂
I do think there is something physical involved here too. When you stretch your face into the shape of an extreme smile, open wide your mouth , yawn , poke out your tongue as far as you can, stretch open your eyes as far as you can, massage your face, etc you are manipulating the fascia in your face and pockets of stagnant lymph fluid are freed into your waste system and channels are reestablished where they should be. So it might not be a psychological thing after all. This is just a theory I made up so not sure if the validity of it.
When you frown and freeze your face into a locked position the opposite happens.
Its simply mirror neurones...we are monkeys after all...that and empathy. Ive cried at funerals where i didnt even know the deceased...( Sorry, in Ireland we all bring up funerals) Or people in rallies getting angry ..same principle...one exercice is simply introduce yourself to the group. That is, say your name and we all laugh...its so silly...and just hilarious. I have a list. I used to co facilitate the stuff...its all monkey business...very scientific monkey business (try saying it with a poker face) Really. We all have forgotten how to play. Need more of it. 15 min of it plus the clapping (pressure points) the breathing, pranayama, and finishing with an inner smile meditation. Felt like a floating fluff afterwise...miss those groups.Ch
