Magnesium chloride oil (mag oil or MO) is usually helpful for muscle cramping. Spray it on and rub it in. Usually works within 5 minutes.

Oral high-absorption magnesium works well, too (magnesium malate or TRAACS, for example)

Glass of water with electrolytes tablet dissolved in it in the morning. Drink plenty during the day. Massage by my physio and exercises. I’ve had it in my back, my side and hamstrings. Very painful.
