Any suggestions for freezing of gait?

When I have freezing of gait, I have to be careful not to fall, because of balance problems, and starting out, after the freezing episode eases up! I use a three-pronged cane, to help me balance myself. When I start out, after a freezing episode, I am careful to start out with small, shuffling steps, until I feel confident in my balance, and walking ability! Being very careful, and not leaning forward, so that I fall, is important!
