ARRRRGGGHHHH!

So these days I seem to blame PD for every irritation or problem. The latest is a lost pair of shoes. They were one of my favorite pair. Recently I went through a cleaning fit, getting rid of old shoes, plastic containers, vitamins and books. When I realized the shoes were gone I scoured the house and even checked the dumpster in case I'd unthinkingly tossed them out. No luck.

It's like looking for lost keys. When I ran out of obvious places my PD caused me to think like someone with Alzheimer's and check odd places like the refrigerator, shower and laundry. No luck.

Because of an Amazon.com account I can order a new pair for next-to-nothing but doing so feels like failure. And worse, in the past after ordering replacements the original item would magically appear.

Just one more sign executive malfunction.

Um...never mind. I asked my wife and she found them in under 5 minutes.

Oops, I've always thought you are female ☹️!

Anyway, back to topic.. you're NOT wrong, PD IS responsible for ALL of my woes and more... Its like a pyramid pack of cards. Flick the bottom one and everything comes crashing down

I find women are much better at finding things than men! At least in my house and with men I have worked with.

Generally my first rule is they are probably where you think they are but buried under something or obscured by something, or orientated in a different way than usual eg upside down, back to front.

If that doesn’t work retracing your movements often does. Where did you use them last. Then what did you do? If all else fails, and not before, ask your wife/mother/ other woman 🤣

Just to clarify, my first line above is a genuine case of mixed-up username identity... again i blame it on PD otherwise my memory would have been better

Yup, I lost a gold chain necklace with three gold charms at least three years ago, and I still think that if I could just remember where I put it…obviously this is indicative of losing what’s left of my mind.

I was expecting you to say that after such a thorough search, you looked down and there they were—on your feet!!! 😉 That would be me!)

Whenever my husband (not PWP) loses something I always ask “did you move anything when you were looking “?
