Has anyone gotten good results from taking Restore Gold or Hardy's Nutrients?

I took Restore Gold for approximately 6 months. Regrettably, it did nothing for me. The representative (Jon) who replied to my frequent emails has PD and was very responsive and kind, but it didn't work for me. I believe their advertised success rate is skewed because dissatisfied people tend not to report back on their lack of success.

Yes to Hardys, and I think the new extra vitamers is even better

Probably to restore gold but it was started around the same time as mannitol and thiamine and one of them restored sense of smell somewhat.

All supplements were stopped for a couple of weeks at one point and condition deteriorated quickly.

Are there particular Hardy’s nutrients to take? If you’ve already answered this no worries; I can find your post. Thanks!

He takes the clinical dose of 12 a day. They have done clinical trials of adhd kids over many years at this dose so it is safe.

It has so many things in and some are bulky in the required dose eg magnesium, NAC and some of the other things in the proprietary mix. If you took them all separately it would be even more!

Oh cool. Thank you so much!

I'm so glad that you asked this question, as I've been curious about Hardy's. Very glad to see LAJ12345's experience too.

I do wish they would offer the DEN (Daily Essential Nutrients) in an option that omits iron (but I may try them anyway).

By the way, anyone interested in Hardy's should probably read the list of contraindications, just in case you are one of the few people that shouldn't be taking their formula [edit to remove link; they've changed the website]

Thanks for that. I hadn’t seen that before. I know if you are on an antidepressant they want to monitor you with your doctor to gradually reduce the antidepressants so you don’t become over medicated. You can’t just buy it over the counter.

I've had my bottle restore gold sitting there for a couple weeks now and haven't started it yet I think I'm gonna start it next week. I've read mixed reviews.

I take restore gold. Have for over 2 years. Haven’t progressed but I do lots of other things. I feel that it is beneficial.

It looks like there may be a third product to consider!

Turns out David L. Hardy and Anthony Stephan (TrueHope) were co-founders of the original product, which was the pre-2013 formulation of TrueHope's EMPowerplus.

Interesting to see what was necessary to keep the supplement from being classified as a drug:

The true hope one has cyanocobalamin which is synthetic and is apparently not as well utilised by some people. The new Hardys with extra vitamers has the natural forms of vitamins.

in reply to LAJ12345

That is good to know, thanks. Doesn't Hardy's DEN (Daily Essential Nutrients) also contain only natural forms? With the extra vitamers being multiple natural forms for some/most ingredients? I know their Women's formula does have at least one synthetic (folic acid).

I thought it was interesting that their amino acid product has the ratio of that found in breastmilk.

Yes, but they have added extra ones in the new one apparently. Hubby had the amino acid one for anxiety for a while but he didn’t find that the amino acids did anything for him. Their inositol they recommend for anxiety too.

“What are vitamers?

Vitamers are simply different forms of vitamins than the typical forms found in multivitamin supplements. For example, Vitamin B12 naturally consists of three vitamers, or different forms, all three of which are available in the new DEN With Added Vitamers formula. These include methylcobalamin, adenosylcobalamin, and hydroxocobalamin.

Why add vitamers?large_Daily_Essential_Nutrients_360_w...

Vitamers allow the body to uptake different forms of vitamins which can sometimes have unique importance in the body. For example, providing all three forms of vitamin B12 rather than just one has been shown to support a healthy metabolism. When providing multiple vitamers for each vitamin, our formulation matches the food form of each vitamin better, which may ultimately provide better absorption and better efficacy”

If you are wanting yet another option there is the range from Ari Whitten, Energyblueprint.com energenesis and ultrabrain plus they have a vitamin one too. They look interesting but postage to New Zealand is too expensive to try and they are similar to the Hardys so they would overlap ingredients but they have more botanicals. We have just started on rhodiola rosea which is in Ari’s product as a compromise and I think it is helping hubby’s mood further. He has been laughing a lot lately !
