For the past month, I have had excruciating pain in my right thigh after having squatted repeatedly in doing a video exercise for PwP. I can no longer walk without holding on to something or moving in my home in a chair with rollers. My MD has prescribed increasingly powerful pain killers but they haven’t eased the pain at all. The pain is so intense that I can’t sleep at night. Is there such a thing as Parkinson’s pain? I would appreciate any advice as I am getting desperate about living like this.

Sounds absolutely awful. Here's a few things that have helped me. You can look it up and buy on eBay or Amazon.

Number one. Far infrared heating pad with jade stones.

Number two the miracle Ball Method by Elaine Petrone.

Number three. Manganese supplement, you can take it for a while.

Number four. Lavender essential oil, use on the affected area. Lavender is mild, it can be used straight from the bottle.

Number five. Using a Homedics two ball massager helps a lot. You don't have to use it for a long time each time..

While sleeping on your back or your side putting a pillow underneath of your hips helps a lot.

Manganese or magnesium?

Manganese, supposedly people that have p d are deficient in it. If it doesn't help in short time you can stop taking it I had severe pain inside of my thighs. After taking it it went away. I still take a pill once in awhile..

That's interesting. Do you have a reference on that? What form of manganese / product do you take? Can you link to the product?

Excessive manganese exposure can cause parkinsonism; there are conflicting views in the literature as to whether toxic levels of Mn exposure contribute to actual PD or not (most sources say not).

Believe It or Not expiration date on my manganese capsules is 3 / 18. I bought solaray manganese 50 mg each. I still have quite a few left. It was a hundred capsules. Have not been able to find the article that I read before. Sorry. For a long time I had a stabbing pain inside of my thighs, it really hurt going up the stairs and walking. Also I would take it when my eyes where having problems trying to open, that's helpful with that too. I know this is going to sound nuts, but the pain went away in a short time.

Not nuts to me - my fibrocystic breast pain cleared up within an hour or two of applying iodine tincture.

I’m not a Dr. but if you’ve been in such pain for a month I would go back to the Dr. or ask to see a specialist. Maybe you need an MRI or other diagnostic test. Hope you get some relief soon!

I agree this needs to be checked. This is different than the usual dystonia pain. Arlington - you may have torn something with that squat - you need to be examined for torn ligaments.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I assume your MD has already examined you for any obvious physical injury? Not being able to walk sounds alarming so be sure to get a thorough examination by a specialist. I also wonder if you're not metabolizing your prescription pain narcotics (I don't), so try Tylenol or ibuprofen and see if they work better at night.

A few things to try on top -

I would try Benfotiamine - it raises thiamine level efficiently to the peripherals. I'm not sure if you're experiencing torn ligaments or inflammation, but if it's due to lactic acidosis (some people have a problem clearing it), B1 should help. Alternatively if you're not already on HD B1, you could try that as well along with other B complex and magnesium that should also help.

Try Serrapeptase - this works well for me and brings pain/inflammation down right away. It's worth a try if your prescription meds are not working for you.

Foam rollers and topical magnesium oil can help with normal muscle pain from overuse; that might not be what's going on, though - a month seems a bit long for that.

Arlington, are you on medication, is the pain intermittent or constant?The absolute worst thigh pain I have had was dystonia of the thigh. It was excruciating, like a severe cramp. Your pain could be dystonic but I’d need more info. If you are not on meds then levadopa may help . You need to talk to a neurologist.

To answer your question, yes pain is a part of pd for some people but not like you describe. Google dystonia and see if it fits your experience.
