That’s interesting. My husband ran out of mannitol a few weeks ago and has had symptoms especially stress returning which may be coincidental. Also taste and smell has gone again. Anyway it finally arrived months after I ordered it and he has been taking it a couple of days again now. He seems to have completely lost his appetite since starting it again which is not at all like him. I wonder if this is behaving like the sucralose and slowing his gastric emptying right down?

As an aside

I have also stopped his b1 as his anxiety level were out of control and I was worried it may have been making it worse so unfortunately I’m not sure stopping which caused the symptoms to come back, or whether it’s just progression or the stress of Covid, tax returns, tenants moving out etc. He was on 1 g b1 so once he has been on the mannitol for a week or so I’ll start the b1 again. (His Hardy’s DEN does have some in it too.) Unfortunately when the anxiety is that bad I think I might need to take him back to the crisis doctor I have to really reduce other natural remedies back down as the first thing they will say is why on earth is he taking these? They are probably causing it. I know they have been keeping him well for over a year now And he improved on the them but they will of course blame them and ramp up the medications again but he doesn’t want to be taking took much medication if he doesn’t need it as it has all sorts of bad side effects.
