My GP has just put me on nortriptilyne for depression. Does anyone know the dose used in recent study showing it slows progression? I'm starting on 10 mg but can go up to 100mg. Thanks

We used theanine VERY successfully after years of depression/anxiety. See my postings on this. NO side effects. Had real troubles with anti depressants. If you must go that way, would strongly suggest a psychiatrist/neurologist who is far more skilled with psycho drugs than GPs.

I'm not badly depressed, just down at times with some anxiety. I just wanted to go on it for the benefits of slowing the progression of my Parkinson's. (See recent study). Figured it can't do any harm. Also have R.E.M. Sleep disorder and seeing if it helps that. Only been on it a few days....so nothing to report yet butI feel my dreams are less vivid and calmer which is good.
