I broke my ankle 3 years ago It was a very bad break all the major bones. And now I have a very fat and a lot of times painful ankle with plenty of metal work plates & bolts etc

Do you think I would be able to run with it? Has anyone else a similar injury what did you do?.......Cheers!

I would think it would be worth speaking to a doctor or, better still, a sports physiotherapist for advice - they'll be able to advise you on exercises that might help with flexibility and muscle strength around the joint to help you avoid further injury. I'd suspect that it will be very important to get the correct shoes for you too. I know people who do run with lots of metalwork in their legs but I think whether or not it is possible is very much an individual matter.

If you do get the go-ahead to start running, I think the C25K program would be an ideal way to start as it builds you up gently.

Good luck.

Okay Thanks! I will get more advice and yes the shoe issue is a big problem also.

I like the C25K program thanks for the suggestion. :)
