Bet that, in the middle of January, you doubted you would get to this point. Well clearly you have. Just two more weeks to go until you graduate, so you're almost there. And if you can run for 25 minutes now, surely you can manage to add just five more in a couple of weeks time?
It's as much a mental challenge as a physical one. But having broken the 20 and now 25 minute hurdles, your brain will be starting to believe that ANYTHING is possible. Go for it!
Infectious excitement, nannyp! Well done! I found that, once I'd done the 20 minute run, the remaining runs were not much bother, really, so hope you can also really enjoy the rest of the programme. Do you find yourself finishing runs with a big, silly smile on your face?
Congratulations - nearly there!
Congratulations! I'm just about to start week 2 so at the moment I can only aspire to be where you are.
Malcy you're so right. It is every bit about mental challenge as it is physical. What makes this programme work is the gradual progress as belief is the key ingredient. Some of the runs have been outwith my comfort zone but I believe I can do each one as momentum and confidence builds run by run, week by week.
You guys are so right it is a mental thing, after my first 20 minute run I felt great and when the next week they were 10 minute run because I did not do them really easy I told myself maybe I could, t do it, so I had to give myself a real good talking too, so when I did the 25 minutes this morning I started believing in myself again, so roll on run 2 and onwards and upwards. thanks again for your comments. xxx
