Bl**dy hell! Speechless! Still can't help a sly grin every time I think about it. I can be honest now and tell you that I was so scared of this run, I looked ahead when I started and was sure that I would never manage this one or would die trying. It's done and I feel amazing, I have never ever run for 20 minutes without a break in my life and it wasn't even as hard as one of the last few minute runs of week one. The other half came out of hospital this morning and we had a constant stream of visitors throughout the day, friends and relatives that we haven't seen since Christmas and the compliments about my shape astounded me. Obviously I see me in the mirror every morning so the change has been subtle over the last 5 weeks but clearly there has been a change, loving this programme so much and I am obviously not as speechless as I first thought so I'll shut up now! Thanks all of you for the encouragement and support x

Wonderful! How lovely that people are already noticing the impact that running is having on you.
For me, W5R3 was the most significant, I think. It convinced me that actually, I could run after all. it looks as though it might just have done the same for you! Well done.
Well done Khrissy, you have reached a major point in the programme, you should be well chuffed
Fantastic! Well done you x
Well done Khrissy - no stopping you now.
Fantastic achievement, the run we all dread and you've done it, hope you have a grin on your face, like the cat in your profile pic enjoy the feeling.
Congratulations to you. It really is a massive achievement :-). I wish my shape had changed:-(.
Congratulations Khrissy - must admit, having just started today, I really can't conceive of running 20 minutes in one go - but just reading this has given me some confidence, and must remember not to look ahead as that seems to start most people worrying.

Congratulations. It is a great feeling.
Well done running for 20 minutes is a fantastic achievement, and everyone saying how great you look, you should be really cuffed
Nice one!
Go Khrissy - well done
Well done! It's a great feeling, isn't it?
Brilliant, well done! Its so motivating to hear these sucess stories, I've just started, w1r2 tomorrow and raceforlife on 12th May!
Very nice to know that you're having such great results in Week 5- only two more running weeks to go before I can hopefully run for the 20 minutes! Well done
I'm on W5R1....so I too will soon know the truth about myself. Congrats!
Oh dear me! Feeling apprehensive after reading this thread. I ran 5/1 4 times and have done 5/2 twice but decided I need to do it again - and again if neccessary - until I can run it comfortably!
I need to download 5/3 and hope I can cope with it.
On a positive note I do feel so much clearer in myself after running. I can't truthfully call it 'energised' but it is a good feeling.
Anyway, Seasons Greetings to you - one and all - and I hope that this sudden heavy hailstorm will give up before the morning!
