I'm struggling to hear Laura over the music on the podcasts. Any ideas how I could improve the sound?

Never heard of anyone having this problem, wannanewme. Do you think it's your ipod at fault or the download? (Or your ears - I sometimes have problems if there's a lot of background noise...) The only thing I can think of is to download it again on another ipod or MP3 and see if that's any different.

Good luck anyway! :-)

Just thinking, you could also experiment with different earphones - buds in your ear, old-fashioned over your head ones, whatever.

I've downloaded to my phone, so I guess the sound quality is just not up to scratch. Thanks for the suggestions.

Could it be your earphones which are not functioning properly in one ear? The music is normally faded down when Laura speaks so it's strange not to be able to hear her. I know someone else had this problem on here once and a new set of earphones sorted it.

Strangely, changing my earphones seems to have worked - I'll know for sure when I try running later. I didn't think it would help as I had sound playing in both ears with the previous earphones, but I'm delighted to have a solution even if I don't understand it. Thanks for your help guys.

Wow, what a difference! I've just run the week 4 routine for the second time, and had Laura alongside for the first time in the whole programme. No problem hearing her at all, and as an added bonus there were additional layers to the music making it more bearable. I'm astounded that a different set of earphones made such a difference, but I'm delighted that it did. Thanks everyone.
