Run for the Hills!! (with HRM)

Wow, what a workout. Not sure about that sudden HR spike at the beginning of the run which turned out to be a max HR of 189bpm? Shouldn't I be dead with a reading that high?

Anyway, it's quite interesting to watch how my heart rate went up and down with the hills. Wearing my blue C25K tshirt with a wind proof jacket over it and capris, I warmed up for just over a mile, tackled Glebe Avenue five times, and jogged carefully down it four times, and then finished with another mile+ cool down. Four and a half miles in total; legs feeling ok. Next run will be a LONG run on Sunday.

Thats brilliant info Carol it shows just how fit you are cos your heart beat drops back down very quickly corresponding with the downhill. I reached a max 185bpm which is rather high but so long as it drops back down you would be fine, its when you get prolonged high rate that you would need to worry.

Lolol Grammadog; can you see old Liz running up the hill behind me, holding her brocade frock up, tiara flying off in the breeze??

I didn't THINK so!
