Hi all,

I am back after eleven days away to Scotland and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We were there for the comedy and also so that I could compete in a 10K event for Romanian children. I managed to get in two short training runs before the event itself which was quite hard work as a lot of it was up through forestry and logging trails on the East bank of Loch Lomond. The training runs were done on Leith water near our Edinburgh apartment. Lovely to run in my homeland for the first time, and also to try out new ground!

We are (all being well) going back up for the festival again next year. They really know how to partaaaay up there let me tell you!!

Now back to some sort of normality. Hopefully I'll get out tomorrow for a bit of a recovery run.

Brilliant, how was the weather on the East side for your run?

Wow! Sounds fantastic and what a great time! I still pine for Scotland although it is nearly 15 years since I left so I am very envious! Well done you. :-)

Hi Burstcouch,

It was warm and sunny to start with, which was too hot for sustained hill effort, but thankfully cooled off at the top of the forestry part and then some drizzle started which helped a bit.

What next??!!

Ouch, that's some hillwork! Nice one 8-)

your pic makes it look like you were caught by a speed camera going more than 20! Are you c25ks first speeding endorsement?

Lovely location for a run, I have walked there or thereabouts a couple of times.
