Hi Shivvy,

You will probably feel like this at the end of every week as it is a little scary upping the run times - weeks 4 to 5 are particularly scary for most of us! - but remember, each run you do you are building up your stamina and therefore you should be able to do the next stage even if you don't think you can!

When I was doing my c25k I always took the 1st run of a new week very steadily so that I didn't really get it into my head that I might not do it. This meant that when I did complete that first run of the week I felt confident and ready for run 2 of the week where I could push myself that little bit more.

As Laura tells you, it's not all about speed so run at the speed you feel confident with and you will do it!

Good Luck! :)

If you managed to do week 1, you can do week 2 - I actually found it easier knowing I didn't have to do it 8 times!

I agree with Tantrumbean, the number of repetitions killed me on the first week, and second week was better.

I agree! I just finished run 1and 2 of week 2. I honestly never thought I could do it! I just kept telling myself I will keep running that 90 secs. Plus I like not having as many reps. ;-) go slow and you will feel so proud of yourself after you complete it.

Hi Shivvy

I have just completed W2R1 and had the same fears as you, pleased to say it went really well, longer runs but not as many. Feel so pleased with myself I have worked up the courage to join my first ever forum ...this one. Hope this helps

Hi Shivvy, I'm sure by now you have completed week 2 but I just wanted to say that I have fekt the same way every week, especially today - as I had to do my first week 3 run and the thought had me absolutely terrified!! As I was getting changed after work I could empathise with a Gladiator about to enter the arena :o) But I did it - it wasn't easy, especially the last 60 seconds - but I did it. The best bit was, I felt no worse than I did after my very first run and being rathet overweight I do have a tendency to turn rather crimson but when I got home my hubby told me that I looked better than I had during the first week - praise indeed.

I don't think I am ever going to be a great runner but I have already achieved so much more than I thought possible.

Hopefully you are feeling the same sense of achievement xxx
