Graduated! What I've Leamt....!

Yay, Friday was Graduation Day for my C25k but I'd already had that great sense of self-congrats on finishing a Race 4 Life 5km in just under 30 mins a couple of weeks ago.

I recommend C25k to everyone and anyone who'll listen as it's changed my fitness and perspective on life. Everything's improved, my health, my stamina, my figure, my attitude and it was all for free! For those just at the beginning or struggling half way through here are my very unscientific tips to get you to the end!:

1. Read the blogs & questions on this site, it never failed to ignite my enthusiasm & get me out of the front door

2. Find a running buddy if you can - I ran once a week with a (much fitter) friend to push me out of my comfort zone and reliance on Laura

3. Sign up for an event to give you something to work towards- 5km or fun-run.

4. If you've got a smartphone download the MapMyRun app which you can set to give you time and distance reminders and you can log your progress.

5. Dogs - love 'em, but they always go for your feet, slow down or risk a spectacular fall....!

And now onwards for me, next challenge to increase my distance 1km at a time to reach the Holy Grail of 10km, can I do it? Yes I can!!!
